Lemon Surfboards - Out Of Line - A Short Portrait
Music Composition & Sound Design
For this short portrait of surfboard shaper Daniel Góngora and his brand Lemon Surfboards, we had the pleasure of creating the original sound design and sonic identity.
Daniel's unconventional approach to asymmetrical surfboard shaping and his expressive painting style became the foundation of the film's audiovisual language. The concept of asymmetry extended beyond the visuals, inspiring a soundtrack built around imbalance, texture, rhythm, and space. Rather than simply supporting the images, we developed a sonic world that reflects the handcrafted nature of his work and enhances the emotional character of the film.
Created alongside a multidisciplinary team of artists, the project became an exploration of how sound and image can work together to form a distinctive and immersive piece of art.
